I am pleased to announce that I was selected to exhibit at the Light & Shadow art exhibition on 4th - 30th November 2022, CISTA Arts Online Gallery, London (UK) alongside other amazingly talented artists.
I can't tell you how excited I am to share this news! I was selected to exhibit at the Light & Shadow art exhibition on 4th - 30th November 2022, CISTA Arts Online Gallery, London (UK) alongside other amazingly talented artists.
CISTA Arts curated a collection of artworks exploring the theme of Light & Shadow.
Their website describes the exhibition theme as:
Light has been used as a metaphor for expressing vivid experiences of joy, spiritual insight, and creativity since the 'dawn' of civilization (Zajonc, 1993). Shadows symbolise suspense, uncertainty, and dark magic. But they can also be positive. They can represent relief and protection. But the most overwhelming shadow symbolism is that of secrecy and the unknown. All artists with a different artistic approach reflected their individual and exceptional experience around the theme ‘light and shadow’.
With this in mind, the artwork chosen to appear in the Light & Shadow art exhibition was my recent digital painting, Little Rabbit (2022).
About the Artwork selected to exhibit at the Light & Shadow art exhibition on 4th - 30th November 2022, CISTA Arts Online Gallery, London (UK)
Little Rabbit is a digital painting of a young person stuck in a bleak world. The shadows seem everywhere, and there is little to look forward to. Even though the person themselves is traumatised, they do not want to pass that trauma onto the future generation. That is why the young person carries a torch of hope. They are trying to light up the world and erase all the shadows. They want a better future - a safer future for everyone.
This artwork is available via my online store. However, you can contact CISTA Arts to purchase a one-of-a-kind print as well. The one-of-a-kind print is a 50cm × 70.7cm Giclée print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag costing £200, which I won't ever be reproducing. The particular paper used captures the depth of the colours, and the Giclée printing shows off all of the brushwork details. The replication of my work in this print is truly breathtaking.
